Happy Fucking Easter!

Ahh its Easter again. That means Good Friday, death, spring, resurrections, eggs, bunnies and Jesus... Wait a second, what do Jesus, eggs and bunnies have to do with each other??? Well im glad you asked, actually they DONT.  The history of Easter reaches far before the death and birth of Jesus.  It was actually derived from the Babylonian Spring Goddess Ishar, later known as "Estera" or "Ostara", who was born of immaculte conception and fell from the moon into the Euphrates river in an egg. She was commonly worshipped in the spring. Estera's sacred animal was the hare (not the bunny).  It seems to me this holiday, that is today a celebration of Jesus, has long been about something else, like the welcoming of spring through celebration of a crazy rabbit loving sun goddess. 

So what did i do to celebrate you ask. Well i got hammered on Good Friday, im drinking this Saturday (all day), and im hoping i can spend my Sunday sipping on my Drunken Bunny.

Drunken Bunny Drink Recipe
1 oz Blue Curacao
.5 oz Whipped Cream
1 oz Melon Liqueur 
1 oz Orange Rum 

Mix all ingredients together with crushed ice in a glass and garnish with mint leaves.
